It is believed to have descended from a combination of Foxhound, Greyhound, and other hound breeds. The Harrier is an active and energetic breed with a friendly, even temperament and is typically very eager to please. It stands between 19-21 inches at the shoulder, is typically tri-colored, and has a dense, medium-length coat.
